Together, we keep people fed and supported
We don't receive government funding. Every food parcel, every school uniform, every warm welcome happens because of generous businesses, community groups and individuals who believe — like we do — that no one should go without.

Donate
Helping those most in need
One of the most powerful ways to support Loaves and Fishes is by making a donation. Every pound you give helps us provide weekly food parcels, clothing, school uniforms, toiletries, and support for people in East Kilbride facing real hardship.
The difference you can make
- 💛 £10 — a complete food parcel for one person
- 💛 £15 — a complete food parcel for a family
- 💛 £25 — a full school uniform pack for a child
- 💛 £50 — toiletries and sanitary items for a week
How to give
- One-off donation — a single gift to help right now
- Regular giving — monthly donations let us plan ahead
- Bank transfer — direct giving means every penny goes to our work
- Fundraise — host an event or sponsored challenge

Volunteer
Volunteer with us
At Loaves and Fishes, our volunteers are the heart of everything we do. From packing food parcels and sorting clothing to offering a warm welcome at our events — every role helps us deliver hope and dignity.
You can volunteer in many ways: weekly sessions, one-off experience days, schools, youth groups, colleges, Duke of Edinburgh, and more. There is a role for everyone — including those with mobility restrictions or who require extra support.
What volunteers do
- Packing & distributing food parcels
- Clothing & toiletry sorting
- Fundraising support
- Admin & logistics
- Special projects & seasonal appeals — Christmas Toy Appeal, School Uniform Drives
Why volunteer?
- Make a tangible impact in people's lives
- Gain experience and learn new skills
- Meet friendly, like-minded people
- Be part of a supportive, compassionate team
You don't need any specific experience — just a kind heart and a willingness to help.

"I started helping with food parcels once a week, and now I can't imagine not being part of the team. The sense of community here is incredible."
Fundraising & sponsorship
Power our work
Loaves and Fishes has always been powered by people. Our Chair Lesley is frequently at youth groups, nurseries, schools, churches, community groups and businesses — sharing what we do, why it matters, and how others can help.
With the opening of our Community Hub in Greenhills, our services are growing — and so are the needs of local people. Your business or organisation can make a direct, measurable impact, while building a strong reputation for social responsibility in East Kilbride.
Ways your business can help
- • Sponsor our weekly food parcels
- • Fund school uniform drives or seasonal campaigns
- • Provide corporate donations or match employee fundraising
- • Offer staff volunteering days at the hub
- • Contribute services or goods in kind
Get your team involved
- • Workplace fundraising — dress-down days, raffles, bake sales
- • Match employee donations
- • Organise collections — toiletries, uniforms, toys, food
- • Nominate us as Charity of the Year
